I would also add though that in my opinion the best high school football in the area isn't played in Charleston county. Berkeley county probably has the best football overall with every school in the county (with the exception of Hanahan and Cane Bay) either playing for or winning a state title since 2009. Fort Dorchester in Dorchester Co. has the best team overall at the moment along with the best QB in the state, and from rumors may be getting the top 2017 prospect in the state in OrTre Smith transferring in from Wando. Summerville has a long history of being a great program but it will be interesting to see how things shake out moving forward without Coach McKissick who retired prior to last season.
