I cant find much about it online so I am guessing no but I thought I would ask...

This question is not because we want to start one -- but because my dh specializes in working at start ups a few years in and we are looking to move to the coastal south (smaller cities only) in next couple years and, of course, we need jobs (mine goes with me)...

Thanks!

Is a start-up that's a few years in business still a start-up?

Portal - Talent - Charleston Digital Corridor

There's this mag that's mainly about venture capital here, but has good clues for start-up minded folk:

Silicon Harbor Magazine - Charleston Tech & Business News

Lastly, one of the top events of the year is called Dig South, which happens next week:

I'm assuming you wanted first hand info. Asked my son (front end software) he says -- yeah -- but it's not big. Here's another link......https://www.startupgrind.com/charleston/

Boy is it filled with misinformation. AS we have pointed out too many times to count, while the cost of living here is HIGH (not relatively low), the wages aren't keeping up. Who makes up this stuff?

It's still a better gig than San Fransisco and New York. But yeah, probably it's just assuming what's stereotypical for the south.

Charleston compared to New York or San Francisco, or Los Angeles or San Jose or D.C. or Boston is cheap. That's what they mean.
