I would really appreciate any feedback someone could give me concerning advertising my landscape irrigation install/repair and lighting business in Daniel Island/Mt. Pleasant, West of the Ashley, Johns Island, James Island etc. I advertised in newspapers but didn't really generate much business. Are there any places online that someone could recommend? thank you for your help!
Also think about doing a "groupon" with deals (spend $200 save $30..etc) . Good luck
We've used Angie's List before and had mixed results. Groupon will generate a ton of business, but our experience has been the company gets so much business they begin to treat those taking advantage of the coupon as second rate.
Don't Forget to do door hangers, when you do a job, Hit the homes around that one with some door hangers while you are there.

Many years ago in my 20's when I first went out into business for myself, I created a flyer with my services offered and went to put them on mailboxes. Without thinking about it, I went around on a Saturday morning and ended up running into lots of people out working in their yard, etc. I had enough business for a month in that first morning.
Note, that you are not allowed to put anything inside the mailbox, but can put a flyer between the flag and the box itself.
"I was doing work @ your neighbors house, and wanted to let you know of my services" Its can be effective, but doing the entire neighborhood, No, then you are just like all the flyers.
