I can't believe what a bad rep this school has!!! My goal is to actually become a JAG lawyer. I don't even know what I should strive for with that "career" as my choice....
Get an undergrad degree and go talk to a recruiter. If the military is going to pay for your school, you may as well go to a good one.

I have my undergrad already. Finding a recruiter to speak to face-to-face is actually a bit difficult. Most recruiters deal with the enlisted side. As far as the military paying, they will pay up to $65k, but only if they pick you. It's a very competitive field. This is speaking for the Air Force...every branch is different in regards to if they pay for your schooling.

I take it these score are inbound law school students undergraduate GPA's .. ?

If I were you, I'd find a way to visit the JAG offices at Fort Jackson and Shaw AFB. You are right that it's ultra competitive.
I have a lawyer friend who made the comment that unless your dad owns a law firm, it's a huge mistake to go to CSOL. In his view, CSOL grads rarely make it past associate status making $40K a year.
USC is seen as a much better law school. If you can get into USC, I think that's where you should go.
So I'm looking into this again as I keep thinking this is the type of career path I want to pursue. However, what's concerning me is the fact that I will want to attend an out-of-state school and will eventually return to the Charleston area. I'm nervous that by not going to USC, I will be very limited to jobs even if I went to a good school (UGA, UF, UT). Has anyone come across this with lawyers in Charleston?
Again, I'll pursue the JAG field first and then the civilian field second.

It was started with the best of intentions
But it was very poorly run, by some self-serving individuals who made their personal compensation the highest priority.
The biggest problem, of course, is that there is a huge oversupply of lawyers in the United States, and the cost of a law education is very high.
There's no way because my GPA beat every one of those scores.
At least when I was doing my research into law school -- about 10 years ago -- LSAT was considered far more important than GPA.
For instance, a friend of mine got a full ride to Georgetown Law with a 2.5 GPA, because he blew the LSAT away. The only person I knew who got a similar LSAT that year (and had a high GPA) ended up at Harvard law.
