hello everyone.. i've been looking up info on SC to relocate soon and would like some "expert" advice..my boyfriend and I are 23, and we would be bringing our two puppies which are american pit bull terriers along. we are looking for a place that has some nightlife, restaurants, bars, shopping, entertainment, colleges etc..are jobs readily available in this area? i would be into retail, customer service, receptionist. my boyfriend does home theater installations, so a best buy or tweeter would be ideal for him. We are currently living in cape may, nj thats the most southern part in New Jersey and im sick of insane rental prices, cost of living is horrible and not to mention my town is really only busy 4 months out of the year.. i want to be able to find something to do in the winter time in SC. i have been having trouble find a place that will accept my dogs, but i dont really see and specific BSL laws except a leash law..

Yes, most apartments don't accept pit bulls. Also if you buy a house certain neighborhoods have may have covenants against them also.

Why dont you try going though a realtor that speciializes in rentals and have them check into houses for rent? They may find something for rent where the landlord is an animal person and would be sympathetic. I certainly wouldn't limit my search if I were you, to apartment complexes. They would be the LEAST likely to accept your dogs in my opinion.

Pet friendly apartments are scarce & not actually friendly to the pet.
I think a home with a fenced yard is for you.
