YES! Trader Joe's!! What about Baja Fresh? That is sort of healthier fast food.

I see that a new Rita's is coming to the Ladson area. I would like to see a Friendly's Restaurant in the Summerville area. They offer food and a full service ice cream menu, something unique that hardly any restaurants offer.

Funny to hear the accolades for Tim Hortons. I grew up just next door to Oakville, Ontario and grew up on Tim's. Starbucks hasn't seen lines like at Tims at 7:00 in the morning in a town of 30,000 people. You think everyone in town has stopped for some donuts and coffee, of course.
Loblaws grocery stores would do so well here in the USA. Love Harveys cheeseburgers and onion rings too.....

Having said that about Tims, Harveys, Loblaws -- reality -- chain restaurants are not the best. Give me a good one of anyday.

Oh, to have a Trader Joe's again...I would be a very happy girl. Also, how about a great Mexican restaurant that doesn't use that "white cheese" for everything....uuugh! No one here seems to use good ole cheddar cheese and EVERY mexican restaruant we have tried here has the same exact Vegetarian menu, what's up with that? While I am on a roll with the mexican restaurants in this area, what's up with them serving your food on 3 separate "plastic" plates? Guess we are just used to large, colorful ceramic plates. I miss the West Coast sometimes.....

It's not a franchise..but I wish we had a Build a Bear. It would do great here in Towne Center or King street.
By the Way ..MOUNT PLEASANT IS GETTING A OLIVE GARDEN.
I VOTE FOR DAVE AND BUSTERS ALSO.

There used to be a Build a Bear type place on King Street, but I think those kind of went out as a fad.
I wish West Ashley would get an Olive Garden....or better yet,(shooting for miracles, now ) James or Johns Island. Of course, maybe it's a good thing that I don't have one close by as I'd gain a ton of weight if Olive Garden was closer - I'd probably be there once a week!

I always thought the con queso cheese was more authentic in Mexican cooking? Some of the best Mexican restaurants here in Atlanta do not use beautiful stylish ceramic plates but it is authentic food and so dang good. What the places lack in style and glamor, they more than make up in taste...but they use the con queso cheese (the white cheese) more than the cheddar.
