I remember all of those storms hitting and all of the flooding it caused. That was a terrible season for NC.

Yeah, we fled to Asheville during Floyd and everyone there was from Charleston.

I was living in Raleigh when Fran hit in 96. Much worse than Floyd. They started burning the trees that had been blown down in Sept. and burned 24/7 untill January!

I remember Hugo well. We lost our home and was without power for weeks! I don't panic when we have a cat 2 or 3 but when it gets more serious than that, I panic!
