Hi! We are driving in from NJ from an overnight trip on Thursday night.. so we will get there at 7-8-am on Friday. We are traveling with 2 young children and staying in a house on Mt. Pleasant. We want to grab breakfast and enjoy the morning.. low key because we'll be tired from the drive. Any recommendations? Is the Mt Pleasant market going on that day? Any cool parks you'd recommend? We're staying in Shem creek so something close maybe. Any ideas? We will head to the house for 12.
Thanks,
Jen

Page's Okra Grill on Coleman has great breakfasts. Lots of food & very reasonable. And near Shem Creek. You could head after that to Pitt Street Bridge - nice walk & views - or Waterfront Park near the Visitor's Center & Patriot's Point. Great views there also. Or Alhambra which is in Old Village very near to Shem Creek - off Pitt St. There's a small park & playground. No market in MP Fri but Sat is the big farmer's market in Charleston. You could catch the water taxi from Patriot's Point over. It's a great way to travel to Charleston from MP. No worries about parking.

Ill give a second vote for breakfast at Pages ... but from there , youll be 5 minutes from the beach at Sullivans island and 10 from the beach at Isle of Palms ...for a quite beach day with the young'ns..

Awesome. Thanks! We were thinking of the Waterfront Park. So we can just relax while the kids play. We will definitely do the beach, but it'll be too much that morning. I'll have to chase the baby around and I need to be well rested for that! Haha
Will look into Pages! Sounds good. And we will definitely take the water taxi into downtown! Heard great things.
