Folly Fishing Pier
I just read that the Folly Beach Fishing Pier has had some renovations, along with the gift shop... I can't wait to see it! We are there late June.... going to the pier is one of our favorite things to do.. I am so excited..... can't wait!

I think we (and everyone else) will be able to enjoy the pier for many many years to come!

I hope everyone knows about the dances on the Folly Pier.
When people get up to line dance, that pier literally moves from side to side.
The moon typically rises from the north side over to the south during the night.
Some nights are chilly, others are hot.
Start the night at 11 Center or Taco Boy & you'll be fine.

Line dancing? Up here on Long Island we have Jones Beach where there is an outdoor square dancing area. Do you think the salt air brings out the dancin' feet ? More likely the salt on the Margarita glass!
For the record, I prefer the bay side of Jones Beach where the outdoor concert arena is. Great dancing going on in there, especially when Jimmy Buffet is in town. Which of course brings us right back to Margaritas! The circle is complete.

I have seen Buffet several times at Jones Beach, actually got into the back stage party one year! Very cool. I love that venue being next to ocean & the bay with the breezes flowing through the crowd.... even in the rain!
I wish they had something like that here. Folly sounds like a nice pier. The pier in Pawleys is private, open only to the folks in the condos. It is really under utilized & it is hardly ever crowded.

11 Center is out of biz or was going out of biz the last time I stopped by there a month or so ago. They had a 40% off sale. Maybe a new owner will run a similar type place there.
