I prefer to buy a kayak and organic gerbal food at the same time. Any wharehouse that can't meet my simple needs is useless.

The Yeti bowl goes without saying since organic gerbal food spoils quicker than hormone laden, processed food does, and therefore needs a $300 bowl with superior insulation capabilities to maintain freshness.
This is a really silly argument. Comparing Gerbals and Gerbils is like comparing aples and orranges.
I've got to get to BJ's to see if they have that documentary though.
Way too early to say BJ's is done because of parking lots, but keep a real close eye on them once Sams and Costco part 2 open up.
Is there any actual information on a Summerville Costco happening anytime in the near future? I know they're building a second location in Mt. Pleasant, but don't recall any Summerville plans.
We haven't been into BJ's yet either, and that's mostly because of the location. I would rather drive down 61 to Costco then deal with that area of Main Street during any busy times. People talking about the lack of selection just makes it even harder to give them a try.

No, but personally I dont see it happening anytime soon. Charleston is getting 2 Costco's is already uncommon for its size.
Costco on Savannah Hwy is 150,000 square feet, while Sam's is almost as big at Centre Pointe. Sam's has been here since the 80s, and Costco since 2001, so they are much more well established.
This Sam's is really only about a decade old. The old one was on Rivers.
I wasn't here when the Sams opened but I've never been to Costco without a decent number of fellow visitors. And the store is so large that the 'decent number' is probably larger than I imagine. Sometimes a town, location within the town, size of the store or even character/selected liens for the store just do not jibe. I know Bed Bath Beyond is most likely to carry different inventory for stores in different areas (look at Mt P vs West Ashley vs North Charleston and you can see this.) And sometimes the store isn't correctly sized. There was originally a Saks 5th Avenue where Forever 21 is. The built it as a resort store (meaning smaller selection) and it never really took off. We'll see how it turns out but its possible they simply mismatched the store and location. The other store I'm going tow watch is the West Ashley Whole Foods- Doschers and WF sharing a lot boggles my mind because I cannot think of two more different clienteles.
