Walmart Neighborhood Market, Publix, Harris Teeter, Aldi or Lidl?

This hasnt been confirmed yet. Either way I doubt a Publix and kind of doubt a Teeter. Aldi is too small imo. But whatever eventually comes, it'll be welcome. The area needs one bad. Walmart Market is the best bet and best fit.

More than enough land for them to build their typically-included gas station too. Nothing else is over there but Exxon.

Not in Charleston, but Aldi is located in many low-income areas in other cities.

From the demographics it would be probably a good location for Aldi, but Aldi normally looks for locations in close proximity to larger retailers, to bring enough traffic.

Aldi would be 3 times smaller than an average Publix, Teeter, and Neighborhood Market.

Seems like they'd want the grocery store to be the center piece of the development and Aldi imo is too small for that.

I've noticed that too. They seem to be in front of big box centers or across the street from Walmart: as the case with the Orangeburg, Lancaster, Florence, Easley, Taylors, Columbia, and Laurens Aldis.

Lowe's seems to be a magnet for them as well.

Winn-Dixie #1092, 3655 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29405-7727, was Winn-Dixie's last store in Charleston County when it exited South Carolina in 2005.

Shipwreck Square was razed in 2012.

Plans for Chelsey Point Center must have been aborted.

I think a Walmart Neighborhood Market would be very successful in that location.

That is the case sometimes, but then you have the Aldi in Summerville and the one coming to Mt. Pleasant, which are off on their own.

The Mount Pleasant Aldi will be in a shopping center. The Summerville Aldi is 2 intersections away from a Super Walmart, and is connected to a Big Lots.
