It seems odd that someone committing a home invasion would take a child. Why? Unless sit was for ransom. Was anything stolen?

I read something that said his intent was robbery, but the 4 year old was articulate and could have described him.

It was interesting that he seemed to take care of her (she was wearing adult clothes for warmth) and he asked the officer to carry her (so he could flee, but still.) there's no indication he harmed her at this point.

Also, read that the Birmingham area is known for trafficking: https://www.birminghamtimes.com/2017...gh-birmingham/ She was found not far from there.

I read entirely too much. Then can't find the sources later.

Right now, the solicitor has said the young woman did know not know the suspect, and it was totally random. Most cases like this, the suspect knows the family or person, a good majority of time. So, just have to wait to see the results of the ongoing investigation to see if it comes out that she did know him. It appears strange that he chose that particular house in a nice neighborhood in daylight hours, very strange. But, as of now, the solicitor has ruled she did not know the suspect. What is important now, is the young, cute 4 year was found safe. Those Norfolk Southern RR employees deserve the $10,000 reward!
