Just finished our Taxes using TurboTax (which I would NOT recommend). I'm not going to e-file because I don't want to put all my digits out there on the internet.

The Filing instructions with TurboTax say to mail our pages to Kansas City MO.....I thought from this area the mailing used to go to Louisville KY ???

We're getting a Refund this year. Could that be the reason for the different address ??

Confirmed the Address is Kansas City if you're not enclosing a check for taxes due......Turbo had the Zip Code wrong. Another clumsy attempt at programming in the 21st Century.

The IRS has many Scan/Receive Centers across the US.

They try to balance the workloads at each by having appropriate number of returns
send to each.

It does not really matter if the return goes to the "wrong" Scan/Receive center, It will will get scanned and uploaded into the IRS computers, and get processed like any other return.

EFile transmission get Encrypted by TurboTax before it leaves your computer with 128Bit encryption,

The same level of security that Amazon, your bank, Credit card ... uses when sending data across the internet.
