It just infuriates me that noone is looking at how to improve the infrastructure.
Well...According to Berk Cty Zoning this is what they know to date:
Cane Bay will be 10,000 homes, Parks of Berkeley will be 20,091 and Carnes Crossroads 6,000 which all equals 36,000 homes...

It looks like the road widening is in the works as they are adding new Electrical Poles further back off the road...Hopefully it will start b4 the CBHS opens up!

As far as work goes the new Roper hospital should host hundreds of jobs, grant it thats not until 2012/2013...And with the retail they "say" is coming, again more opportunities should arise??

Well I've lived in Berkeley County for the last 30 yrs. and have come to realize the government is run by the "good ole boy" system so we'll see if this holds true.

Hopefully by the time it's all built up I'll be sitting on a beach down in FL enjoying the rest of my life.

I have yet to live in or see an area that has growth potential not be corrupted in some way. There are 'Good 'Ole Boys' in Chicago, NYC & San Fran, as well as Podunk & Any Little Town, USA

I was at the planning Bureau today & I actually think Berkeley County has a fairly good handle on things, so far.

Do you mean home sales Stella or the Retail end? Maybe DW is slowing but again this morning they've begun to bang another home in our hood'...This is the most action we've seen since Summer 07...

They have sold all but 6 homes here from the first phase and hopefully will now open more. A manager was let go and you know how rumors start. Poeple don't see enough action going on. I never think about it until someone tells me.

Most people are happy here, but that are impatient about activities and getting the amenities center built, which, by the way, is coming along and is on schedule for sometime in the Fall.

I realized I was moving into a construction area and knew it would take time.

Question sam club in summerville?

I work at the Sams Club in N.charleston and we have not heard of anything definate yet.Believe me,I live in Summerville and the traffic is ridiculous and this addition would be a big help for me and the people who already shop at our busy store.
