I lean towards believing the accuser and not Kavanaugh, but you're correct that he is innocent until proven guilty, and it seems unlikely that there will be enough evidence to prove him guilty. What I find very concerning is that some Democrats are saying (directly or indirectly) that she should be believed just because she's a woman, and that he should not be believed just because he's a (white) man. The US is heading towards tribalism and mob rule with that kind of viewpoint.

Same. Gotta admit, he surprised me too and I generally have a very low opinion of him but this did raise my opinion of him. Not much but he’s not quite as low anymore.
