1. This is the United States, and PRIDE and the KKK are granted their rights to free speech and assembly by the Constitution. As appalling as I view the white supremacists, when you start to hinder their rights then you have no right to claim your groups right to free speech.
2. That last sentence simply isn't true.
While I fully support everyone's right to live freely, Silver-Fox has a right to his opinion and the right to state such granted by the Constitution. If he takes action against LGBTQ persons, that changes everything.
And once again, the tolerant left is the first to start name calling. Wonder why people vote for Trump? It's precisely due to the left's intolerance of dissenting opinions.
I didn’t say anything about hindering white nationalists’ freedom to march or say what they wish.
Apparently Charleston may be #1 (by a mere point) in the state among local governments, but the views and perspectives of the local populace are another thing altogether.
Compared to when I lived in Charleston in the 90s, the vibe has definitely become more accepting. I felt a tangible edginess and discomfort in public that is gone for me now. I can only speak for my exp,it’s certainly still a struggle for many.Whether one agrees with us or not I think it’s quite fair not to be fired or kicked out of your apt for simply being yourself. Furthermore, if someone is angered or freaked out by seeing two men holding hands on the street that’s their problem not ours.
Finally, if calling someone living their life as who they are “societal decay” is not bigoted,
I am at a loss for the definition.
