MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Edwards Place, a new housing development in Mount Pleasant will move forward with a symbolic groundbreaking on Wednesday.

Some local historians say it is located on the largest piece of undeveloped land left in Old Village.

Edwards Place will be a community of ten homes on historic property.

The property is located at the site of the late South Carolina Governor Jim Edwards' home.

Preservationists and Mount Pleasant officials believed that the land could have been put to better use as a public space.

This development is within a stones throw of my house. As long as it does not adversely affect any flooding hazards, I’m okay with it. There will be 10 homes, Hoa space and a storm water retention pond.

Does anyone know what the price tag will be?!

The Edwards Place sign has been up for a while. We knew it was coming. Ten is actually not as bad as I thought it might be.

Looks like they're going to try to get quite a few million out of those 10 lots. They only have one concept on MLS at the moment, it's the one you linked above from Realtor.com
