Do you know if the services for special needs are good in Summerville. Are there things they might enjoy ( special needs adults)

I don't know about programs, but I've noticed (or been told) that there are at least these 3 employers who hire and train adults with special needs. These are : Valet Dry Carpet Cleaning, Publix Grocery and Cuppa Manna coffee shop.

Valet is only on facebook.
Publix Super Markets | The Able Trust

I also found this resource: Employment Support Services | Dorchester County Board of Disabilities & Special Needs

Sorry can't be of any more help!

You're welcome.

I found this. It's a school, but their website lists a lot of resources:

Sadie, Folks on this forum are generally very helpful and I'm sure if we had more answers, they'd be posted. I'd suggest you do a search for "Charleston special needs" on Facebook and see what groups are there. The first one I found is called, "Charleston SC Special Needs Community" but it looked like there were more. The folks in those groups should be able to fill you in on what resources are available in the Charleston area. Best of luck with your research!
