We are going on a family vacation to Kiawah island and are taking our 87-year-old Aunt who doesn't get around very well. We are from Charlotte and are finding it difficult to find a place that will rent us a golf cart to use for the weekend. We have searched the internet and called several places, but no luck. Can anyone recommend a place that will rent us a golf cart? We are desperate.

I'm thinking that the answer to that is no.
Carts are not allowed on the streets or beaches of Kiawah.

Regular golf carts (not the street legal NEV) are NOT approved by Kiawah or Seabrook Island for use on their roads.

Seabrook Island does allow licensed street-legal NEV (licensed= a vehicle that has a state license plate on it). I'm not sure if Kiawah has also approved this street-legal vehicles yet.

One of the best places to rent a golf cart is in Edisto right behind the Piggly Wiggly. Other than that I don't know of a place right off.
