Default Downtown

Not having been in Charleston for a few years I was wondering about this...

When I was there you never wanted to above Line St for much and for sure not as far as living safely area....has this 'line' gone further south..maybe as far as Calhoun or is the upper section improving at all over the last 3-4 years.

The areas immediately around the crosstown (Hwy 17) are still in need of work. However, you can easily and safely head to the upper peninsula and great neighborhoods like Wagener Terrace and Hampton Park by following Lockwood Blvd., and then turning towards and around the Citadel.
