family3 is on a distinguished road
Default Fire ants & children

This may sound ridiculous, but I assume little children can go out in the backyard to play? How frequent are fireants in the yard? Do you need to make a sweep of the yard daily first? Does (or is there) spraying work?
Also, are they year round or seasonal?

We are moving, need to know what to expect upfront when we arrive.
Thanks!

They are in yards but if you keep yours with some type of ant removal/protector, you will be fine. I have not had them in 5 or 6 years, I use Scotts Fertilizer w/ FIRE ANT protection 3 to 4 times a year and NO worries. Still keep your eyes out for the mounding cause them little suckers hurt...And I would say definitely seasonal.
