Default Need advice on schools :)

We'll be moving to the area (probably Summerville) over the summer. I'd like to visit some schools when we come down to find a house. Right now my older son goes to parochial school and it's not a good fit for him. It would be okay if he were average but he's above in Math and below in Reading. The school he's in now isn't particularly helpful and he receives no services. He doesn't have any learning disabilities or ADD or anything like that diagnosed. He is very bright and we think he may just think and learn differently. He's also a lefty and very creative and artistic. Anyway, what are the public schools like in the area? How about the private? Summerville Catholic, Pinewood Prep, etc... I think the structure and conformity of the parochial school he attends now is difficult for him. He has trouble sitting all day and hates school already (he's only in first grade). Any suggestions of schools to check out? Thanks for any info!!!

The Summerville schools are generally good. I'll let someone more involved give the specifics.
