Default Any Construction People Here?

I'm looking to relocate (back) to the Charleston area this fall and look forward to submitting resumes, only I don't know where I can find specific contractors.

Does anyone know of any commercial drywall/metal framing/acoustical ceiling contractors in the area? Or a website I can use to find some?

On another note, how is the commercial building going? Any shortage of new construction in lieu of our recent economy downturns?

Default Look into Leopardo

They are based out of Chicago but now have an office in Charleston Leopardo Construction

Did you try Yellow Pages : Superpages Yellow Pages, Maps, Driving Directions, Weather...? They are an on-line yellow pages and should reveal all of the contractors with a business phone.

Good luck with your relocation. My husband and I are "in the process" of moving to Charleston as well. He is a mason and looking to do high-end detail work and restoration. I've found Craigslist is a great spot for job listings and charlestonjobmarket.com is a good place as well. From what I've found, commercial work is still strong but residential has slowed. Keep in mind you may be taking a slight pay cut coming from Chicago. I still think the move would be worth it. If for nothing else than you won't freeze while working in the winter.

Thanks DJShymansky for the suggestions, I have submitted a few resumes to those mentioned. Are there any other companies anyone can think of similiar to Bonitz and Tidewater (do both drywall and acoustical) in the area?
