For those 65 and older or who otherwise qualify, there seems to be a good number of outlets for the vaccine opening up. I just got the first shot today at Walmart of all places. Easy, quick no line at all. Walmart has the Moderna version (in case that matters to anyone) and of course, it's free.
I know someone who just applied today and is getting the shot tomorrow so it doesn't seem like there's overwhelming demand.
CVS also has a very easily navigated site. We are in the Upstate but we got online last Thursday, had an appointment for the next day and an appointment for the second in March. Quick and easy.

Waiting for them to drop the age another few years.
Strange, my wife has had her appointment for 4 weeks and yesterday the day before she was to go she received a call telling her that they have run out of the vaccine and moved her appointment back 3 more weeks. She's over 70, so what's the deal with people over 65 moving ahead?

Maybe try the Walmart, CVS or Walgreens websites? Publix was also supposed to be getting some. I think as long as you're 65+ or fit one of the other categories, you can get an appointment. They aren't prioritizing people by age or other wise as long as they qualify in some way. There was also mention of local clinics that had available vaccines as well. Liberty Doctors (I think) in West Ashley was one.

DHEC posted their vaccine information line number recently: 1-866-365-8110
It is open from 7a-7p to help with questions about the vaccine, and support for people who need help finding a vaccine provider
I can't find the link now, but read that some vaccine doses were delayed due to transportation issues, I think? That might be why a place had to reschedule--if they weren't getting in the doses they expected.
