FEB 2009 - ITV Global Entertainment has today announced a deal with Amazon Video On Demand which will see the UK's longest running soap Coronation Street made available on-demand in the US. 200 episodes of the Weatherfield soap, which aired between Christmas 2007 and July 2008, will be rolled out by the end of the month, while a further 20 episodes will be added to the collection every month thereafter. It is envisaged that US viewers, who will be able to buy the content for 50c per episode, will be viewing episodes of Corrie within one week of UK transmission by the autumn.
