I would say inside 526 West Ashley, James Island, above the Crosstown, and near Coleman Blvd in Mt P.

We don’t have a gay scene or a gay neighborhood. Tell him to google AFFA and We are Family. Good volunteer opportunities and a way to meet folks. Dudley’s and The Hive are small gay bars.

I’m out and homophobic encounters have happened to me , rarely though.

Also: I happen to live on DI and there has been a tangible influx of young professionals moving here. They are filling all the apts.Several good restaurants as well. Granted, it will always be quiet and reserved vibe wise…. that can be relaxing though and Park Circle is minutes away in good traffic for a change of scenery.

quiet and reserved until Phish comes to town to play the Credit One Stadium ---

I'm sure locals were just so frustrated with all them Phish fans taking over downtown Daniel Island -- lol.

But the smell...

Went to Park Circle for a show a couple weeks ago. Excited 526 I guess at the paper mill and oil refinery exit. My wife and I gagged at the odor, and wonder how anyone could live there.

Everyone talks up park circle, but no one mentions the smell. Ain't no way...
