Default Looking for thrift stores...

Does anyone know of good thrift stores in the Moncks Corner area? I am interested in goodwill stores, bread outlets, etc... Trying to keep expenses down with 4 kids on one income. Thanks!

Not sure about Moncks Corner, but there used to be a good one in North Charleston on Rivers Avenue, next to the Red Cross building. It was fairly large, with lots of clothing, furniture, odds & ends. Haven't visited there in several years, though.

Thanks for the help! Does anyone know of any bakery/food outlets? Where we live now, they have a bread outlet that sells day-old bread, milk, eggs at really great prices. Thanks again!!

I would check individual bakeries. I know the one on Windermere Road (Normandy Artisan Bakery) has day old things (while they last). Huge muffins go for a dollar and taste just as fresh as fresh for less than half the price. I've only been once to Saffron downtown but they are a big operation and I thought I noticed a day old bin when I was there. Also Earth Fare's bakery department, believe it or not, has some good mark downs such as gluten free cookies (made with spelt or other non gluten flour) that are loaded with dried fruits and are really yummy for $1.99 instead of $3.99 when they are full price.

Don't know how far you are, but the Tanger Outlets in Charleston has a Pepperidge Farm outlet. They usually sell their items for half off.

Try this link for Thrift Stores in N Charleston, SC It lists a whole bunch of them.

Thanks again!! Great help. I was also wondering if you can buy gluten-free food at the regular grocery stores (bi-lo, publix, etc...). We are moving to Moss Grove in Moncks Corner. How far is that from the Tanger outlet?

Per Google Maps it is 22 Miles. 52 East to 26 East to West Montague to International & Tanger

Address if you want to map it yourself is 4840 Tanger Boulevard, North Charleston, 29418

There is a bread outlet on 17-A just outside of Summerville as you are heading towards Moncks Corner. I can't think of the name of it right now though. Oh and there's a Goodwill right down from it as well.

Great! Thanks, Luvsdabeach. I hope to find the groceries cheaper in general down there compared to up north! I have heard that your fruit is fresher as well. Is this true? Are there many fruit and vegetable stands?
Thanks again.
