We currently live in a smaller town in northern Illinois and are wanting to relocate somewhere warmer. Hubby is an electrician doing mostly new residential. He also does remodels, some industrial and commercial. He has almost 4 years of experience.
We figure now is the best time to move as our kids are still young. ( 9 months, 3, and 4) The company he works for is great, yet the future is very uncertain. His boss is getting older and the company may just end then.
He is not union.
I homeschool so schools aren't that big an issue.
So, anyone on here an electrician? Where are good places to go?
Thanks!

If he wants to do Industrial maintenance, there are some good options in the area. NUCOR Steel, ALCOA, JW Aluminum, Bosch, Bayer, etc.. Being non-union is no big deal. This is a Right-To-Work State. Obviously, housing starts are down right now, so new construction work is harder than normal to find. I'm sure the hammers will start flying again soon. There are a lot of new developments in the works around here.
Check with the online job listings like Monster and others.
Good Luck.
