Hilton Head Lakes new development in Hardeeville, SC
Does any one have any info about the new development in Hardeeville, SC called Hilton Head Lakes? I was down on Hilton Head Island for a vacation a few weeks ago and drove by this new development. I have done some research on it but can't seem to find much info. I know it is about 15 miles from Hilton Head Island. It seems like a nice area to invest in. Any help would be appreciated.

My boyfriend and I are actually looking into moving there. We stopped by a few months ago and got some info. You can go to Hiltonheadlakes.net and you can get some info there. We were sold as soon as we heard all the great things they are doing there. Some of the things that sold us are they are building a beach there, you can get a boat dock built behind your home, and drive it everywhere in the development, which will also include to the grocery store they are suppose to be building as well. I know the starting price for land is $150,000, but that's not for lake front, I think that starts at $180,000. Then, you build your house on it, which I know when we were there last, the guy told us they are hoping to start building in January.
Hope this was helpful!

Hilton Head Lakes
I am currently looking at accepting a sales position and I would be glad to share any information with you that I have been able to put together. The development team seems as strong as any in the country with over 40 years of combined experince. Also the backing of one of the area's largest construction companies is fantastic. I am relocating from another state to accept a position there so my choice is just as important as what you guys are looking at moiving my wife and two children. So I hope this helps and as I said I would be willing to share my infomation with you to make a decission.

As I think you are probably aware, the best climate exist from Wilmington, NC to the northern border of Florida. If you go much further north it is too cold in the winter, and if you go much further south it is too hot in the summer. Hilton Head Lakes is in the greatest climate area. Their web site is at Hilton Head Lakes - Private Community located in Hardeeville, South Carolina
I don't think you can go wrong by considering it at a location for living or retiring. You have Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head Island close by for shopping and entertainment and the best food in the world.

We just went to an information night on this place. We are going down in March to check it out. This company has other edtablished communities you can check out to see how they do. they are well respected in the field. Prices of non waterfront properties have gone down to $90,000.00. They expect not to be able to have houses built for 2 years as they have put in the ammenities and are now putting in the infrastructure. (roads, sewer, electricity etc.) They are currently offering special discounted trips to visit.

We are building there! After checking out lots of developments in the area (we have been visiting Hilton Head Island for 20 years and have owned a second home there for 8 years) we decided the amenities are superior to others, the developers are financially strong and have an excellent track record, and the price was the best - both for initial purchase and for ongoing community fees. Local government and financial experts just confirmed our impressions. I know there is at least one other couple that has begun the process of building.

I've e-mailed them a couple times but nobody replies. Does anybody know the hoa(poa) fees , the tax rate and do they have model homes or do they just sell lots at HH Lakes?
