Charleston culinary oriented vacation
My wife and I are taking a much needed vacation and have decided on Charleston for a number of reasons. One of the main reasons is the reputation of Charleston as a culinary destination! We are "foodies" and are looking to sample the best of the best!
Here is what I have put together so far:
Breakfast:
Sea Biscuit Cafe - Isle of Palms
Hominy Grill (Rutledge Ave., 843 937 0930)
Joseph's (129 Meeting St, Charleston 843 958 8500)
Sunday Brunch:
High Cotton
199 East Bay St.
Charleston, SC 29401
Lunch:
Charleston Crab House (Downtown)
Joseph's (129 Meeting St, Charleston 843 958 8500)
Dinner:
Circa 1886 (149 Wentworth St., 843 853 7828)
Boathouse at Beach Inlet (Isle of Palms)
Cru Cafe ( 18 Pinckney St., 843 534 2434)
We are staying in Isle of Palms, so wanted to include a couple of places there. Please critique this list and add any recommendations you may have!
Thanks!

I love the Hominy Grill for breakfast. I visit my grandparents at least on a monthly basis for the weekend, and I generally try and get there as much as possible b/c I love Shrimp and Grits for breakfast. (Yes, you don't find that from many northerners, but I'm adopting a lot of southern ways)
The Boathouse on the IOP is a good restaraunt, but even better is that it has the best sunset views in the Low Country, or at least on par w/ the restaraunts out at Bohicket Marina by the gate to Seabrook Island (my grandparents first moved there in the late 80s when they retired, now live at Franke at Seaside in MT P)

Foodie you say?
Ok, I'll cut this up.
Breakfast:
Hominy Grill - touristy sometimes, but worth it.
Lunch:
Snob - great & can't beat the 'special'.
Cocktails at sunset:
Boathouse on Sullivans, then to;
Dinner:
Pennisula Grill
Pedi-cab to:
Charleston Place for Jazz & Dessert.
Early enough?
back to Atlanticville on Sullivans for a drink with music.
p.s. some Great Deals at Circa 1886 for a greta meal as well in July.

Those are all good. I like being by the beach for breakfast, so I like Sea Biscuit (and the Lost Dog on Folly which is a long distance from IOP). The others are also good.

Excellent choice. I ate there 2 weeks ago for brunch, and it was great.

I like Magnolia's (downtown) for lunch; Fleet Landing is nice too (overlooks the harbor).

I'm not sure where to even begin with dinner. Those are all good options among many. Since you're going to be on IOP, I would certainly include the Boathouse.

The Old Village Post House in Old Mt Pleasant, agreed.
Agree on replacing the Crab House on your tour. Good food, but not spectacular.
I'd stop by The Diner on Coleman Blvd in Mt P for lunch if you get the chance. Just plain good homestyle food. Make you miss Grandma.

If you want to try some authentic Italian, I would try Souri's in Mt Pleasant (since that is basically your home base). Best Italian specials in town.
