Default Looking for info on the Twin Lakes area

My brothers and I inherited about 12 acres of undeveloped land near Twin Lakes Drive and Montana Lane. Our Dad purchased this property years around 40 years ago and just held onto it. My brothers and I are all in Tennessee - I was born in Summerville, though we moved to TN when I was 2 - and are planning a road trip sometime soon to take a look at it.

Does anyone have any info on this area of town such as what kind of development is out there and if it is a desirable area or a blighted one or somewhere in between? We'll most likely sell it off in the next year or so and I'm just wondering about what we could ask for it. We'll be using a local realtor as well. Any recommendations there?

Thanks in advance for any input and advice!

You wouldn't be wouldn't be Amy or Dale would you?
In my mind, there are only two Realtors on this board that have ever been on that property.

There are some interesting things going on out there & you need to make sure you aren't sold a bill of goods on this.

I have a pretty conservative view on it.

Thanks for responding, Jim3310.

Nope, I'm not Amy or Dale. We've just been really curious as to the state of the area and wondering what's planned as far as future residental or commercial development. I've Google mapped it, and it looked pretty rural and on MLS listings I see lots of trailers.

SCDweller is on a distinguished road
Hi Mary, Twin Lakes is out Central ave. and is a mixed bag. Lots of mobile homes but a new development is going up in there. However, it is struggling. I would be happy to get you more information on what you are looking at with your property if you'd like to pm a tax map number.
