Smile Diversity in Mt. Pleasant - Interracial Family

I am Asian and my husband is Black and we are moving in Mt. Pleasant next month. We have lived West Ashley area before but it was not good experience for me. Especially I got negative impressions from Black females
everytime I went out with my husband. (that was 4 years ago) My husband is from Charleston, so he's excited to come home, but I am worried a little.

Are there any interracial families in Mt.Pleasant area?
We have 2 and 4 yrs old girls and I don't want see people keeps stealing at us everytime we go out. Here in TX, Black x Asian mix kids are not common but people are nice to us.

If you are raising biracial kids in Mt. Pleasant, or your know someone who does that I really like to hear what do you feel about the impression you get. Thank you.

I actually just met a biracial couple the other day and they moved here from TX also!
They moved into Park West and seem to love it here. They have a 3 year old boy. Don't think you'll have any issues over here in "MOUNT PLEASANT".... So don't worry and enjoy your move.

I also know an inter-racial couple that lives in Park West. The wife is White and the Husband is Black, they have two adorable kids, a boy and girl. They love where they live. They say the neighbors are great! Good Luck.

My two cents: I believe that in Mt Pleasant or Daniel Island who you would not experience many problems being an interracial couple. I am Hispanic and my wife is white American (from CT), live in Mt Pleasant and feel very welcome.

Mt.P is a very diverse town, it's full of people from all over the country... all types and races... you will rarely find a local, so chances are real good you won't find someone looking at you like you don't belong... lol ... you'll do just fine there
