cdvxb is on a distinguished road
First and foremost - I am jealous! I graduated from the College of Charleston, but moved away after graduation. You will love it there! As far as football, you may want to think along these lines: Clemson is an ACC team, Carolina is an SEC team. The SEC is a great division with lots of tough teams. On the other hand, Clemson seems to be making a comeback. Carolina doesn't suck either. Both programs are up and coming. Can't decide? I love my Auburn Tigers! We love to have new fans! War Eagle!

RED vs ORANGE;
oh man, now the fuse has been lit.

As a transplant, I found it VERY weird to find that there really isn't any real sports fans here other than USC/Tigers. I have decided that these are the ONLY teams that really passionately exist in these parts with a strong base.

I don't have a problem with that & I feel for the coaches 'uphill climb' these coming years. (See how I did that in a sensitive politically correct fashion?).

My wife seriously thinks that since those are the ONLY two teams in the ONLY sport (football) that matters in these parts;

That they could put the 'important games' ie. Yankees & the Giants, on prime time in HD down here.

just so I don't have an excuse to go to Cumberland's downtown.

I beg to differ with her...

Don't forget that basketball is quite popular in Columbia, too. In Charleston, C of C is popular in basketball.
