Default Searching for a new doctor.

Hello, I just moved down here and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a doctor that a gay man can feel comfortable with. I dont know where to go and i really felt comfortable with the doctor i had back home. I would really like to find someone I could trust as my consistent doctor. Any suggestions, anyone? Thank you

Default What city?

We just moved here, and I took my 2 teenagers to Doctor's Care. I liked it because they're open weekends, and after hours. It's on a walk-in basis, which I've never had before, and didn't even know these places exist. Bad thing is you don't have an assigned "doctor" -- you get whomever is there at that time, which isn't something we've had in the past.

We're in Summerville, so that's why I chose it. Again, seems when you get sick -- it seldom is during "office hours" so I loved the fact that we could walk in whenever. I took my kids their for their physicals, and had no complaints, didn't wait too long.

But I ask where in Charleston you're located -- so others could maybe direct you better. I would imagine location would play a factor in the decision.

GL!

For Summerville, I rec Dr. Nicole Deberry, or Karen Howard FNP at Palmetto Primary Care for family doc/primary care. There is an after hours clinic available on Sat. and the early evening hours for emergencies located near Trident for all of the Palmetto Primary Care offices, which at least that doc will have access to your med records.

In Charleston means a very large area, North Charleston, Downtown, West Ashley. It's always best to find a doc near your home.
