Default Boil water Northern 17 MT P Residents

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS IN THE 17 NORTH AREA: A Boil Water Advisory was issued at noon Friday for the Highway 17 North area of Mount Pleasant. MPW customers living in and near the areas of Charleston National, Park West, Copahee, Darrell Creek, Commonwealth, Paradise Island, Whitehall Terrace and Alston Point are advised to boil water for drinking purposes until you receive notice that the water is safe to drink. The advisory was issued as a precautionary measure in response to potential water contamination from a water main break that caused system pressure to drop in the area of the break. View the press release issued to local media.

Drinking water samples were collected Friday from the affected areas. You will receive a Repeal of the Boil Water Advisory when testing is complete and the water is considered safe to drink without boiling. The notice is expected by late Saturday afternoon or early evening.

Same, glad we didn't get sick. The dog did though but maybe it wasn't the water
Drinking the tap water wasn't as bad as the couple of hours we spent at the beach on the Isle of Palms on Sunday. Even though it was gorgeous I just wish someone had reminded me that even on cloudy days you need to apply factor 50 or you'll get a nice sunburn like we did, ouch!

Ouch! (been there, done that). In fact, now I'm purpously 'frying' myself at a tanning bed since I don't get to see the sun during the week
