Is there an area outside of charelseton that has some type of night life? I am a pretty reserve guy but i might want to be that old guy in the club when i get there lol.

You're 30. Stop calling yourself, and by extension the rest of us, old. Charleston has most of the night life, though.

There is an older crowd at O'Lacy's Pub and the Kickin Chickin you also have The Icehouse. I am not sure what the crowd is like at Huricane Alley any more, I have been out there in a long time.

I agree with DJ stop calling the rest of us, who are older than you, OLD.....

How bad is rush hour traffic coming from summerville to the Air force base, is it stop and go or slow but still moving?

The traffic from S'ville to the base can be pretty heavy at rush hour. But still, it would be 30-45 minutes.

Neighborhoods like Wescott Plantation, Whitehall, and Appian Landing would all be 5-10 minutes from the AFB. You could actually pick a few in West Ashley as well, that wouldn't be much farther.

I just moved here, and I live in Westcott plantation. It's such an easy drive from here to the AFB...about 10 minutes. Westcott opens up right onto Dorchester Rd. and then it's a straight shot to the base. There are smaller homes in the area, as well as an apartment complex, althought I don't know the name of the complex.

Westcott is a great location, I think. It seems to be pretty central to the things I like....access to the base, not too far from the interstate, walmart is close as well as banks and restaurants.

If you don't already have Microsoft Virtual Earth you should download it. I used the satelite in all my home searches and it gives a wonderful perspective on the locations you are looking at in relation to the base.

In "rush hour" traffic would it be better to go on Dorchester from Summerville to the AFB?

Hard to say. Dorchester and the roads leading into it can get pretty crowded during rush, with all the stop lights.
