Military Move
I am a 30 years old single male that will be working at the Air Force Base there. What are some areas that you guys would recommend? Looking at homes around $165, with not more then 30 min drive to work. My friends lives in Hunters Bend and that seems like a nice area but i haven't found much on this board about it.

There are many options for you close to your work. Hunters Bend is a nice Beazer Community. There are homes for sale as well as to be built in your price range. I'd also recommend, Wescott Plantation and Charleston Park..there are so many to list.

Single, within 30 minutes of the Air Force Base, why not a townhome in a great little townhome community like Oak Bluff? 2beds 2.5baths going for the mid $130's with plenty of other owners in the same boat as you hanging out at the pool. Definitely worth a look.

I was thinking of a townhouse but hear they take longer to sell. Plus online the living rooms of the townhouse look smaller then my last apartment, i got to have room for my 50inch plasma and surround sound lol.

Correct - single family homes appreciate more rapidly and are easier to unload - you just have to take care of your own lawn maintenance...

Beazer has done very good jobs recently. A few of their subdivisions had problems awhile back with subcontractors and siding/sealing issues. I haven't run into any trouble with them recently for my clients or during pre-drywall or post inspections.

I hate their comercials but I haven't heard anything bad about the homes recently.
There are two Best Buys in the area. One is in N.Charleston, the other is in Summerville.

There are plety of options for you. The real question is wat do youlike to do when not working. Lifestyle to me is the big question. You can find a suitable house almost anywhere.
