Yesterday I was in a lighting store in MtP and the sales girl there had just moved into town. She said she takes Shag classes and goes down to Folly for shagging on the pier?
I don't know what the hell that is, but it sounded fun! That might be a cool way to meet people!
This link will show you about it a little history. My mom used to shag at the Folly pier/pavillion when she was young. Those structures are long gone now. I didn't realize people were shagging at the new pier.

LOL Oh my goodness ... we gotta educate you ... the Shag is our State Dance ... yes it's official.
The General Assembly of SC by Act No. 329, 1984, designated the Shag as the official dance of the State.
Shaggers gather twice a year at the birthplace of the dance, Ocean Drive Beach SC or OD as it was called way back when.
