Default Boston to Charleston Area - What Are Pros/Cons?

Can anyone from the Boston area who has relocated to the coastal Charleston area tell me what your thoughts are on the area? What are the plusses and minuses of the area? Are you glad you moved or do you like the Boston area better?

I am looking to get away from the cold winters, but I wonder whether I would regret my decision if I picked up and moved.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there! my DH is from Wellesley MA (I'm from NJ orginally) and he relocated here, as well as his parents, and no one has regretted it for a minute! we moved to Mount Pleasant, and one of the reasons we fell in love with the area is that downtown Charleston has so much of the history and charming details as Boston, it's really great...we considered other coastal communities but this one had the best "feel' to it. and no one has missed the snow! Have you been down to visit yet? There are TONS of people from MA here, LOTS of Sox fans...you won't be lost..! Plus, the cost of living for housing is so much better- compared to what you can buy in the suburban Boston areas for $350,000 would really sell you on the area, PLUS the taxes - that alone will make you happy! Not to mention no more oil bills (if you have), and heating bills will be dramatically reduced....so I say - come one down!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but what does DH stand for? I keep seeing this used in these forums and I'm just not familiar.

DH-Darling hubby. But depending on how someone feels about their significant other would depend on what the "D" means to them.
