Beth1104,
I appreciate your interest in the photos and would also like to see the thread back in line where it started. I didn't ask for typical neighborhoods, rather favorite neighborhoods. Maybe Geechie North could start a thread featuring "typical" Charleston neighborhoods and he and others could post some photos of them so we could see what typical neighborhoods look like. I am not sure what your "average type cat" is like. I do know that in my opinion the residents of such neighborhoods as the Old Village, Old Mt. Pleasant, Snee Farm and other more traditional neighborhoohs in the Charleston area are average people like most of us who have worked hard, saved and made some sound financial decisions in our lives.

The "average cat" is defined by stats (economic) pretty well in this thread.

Alas, there seems to be a derth of pictures of the majority of typical neighborhoods (Rotherwood, East and West 0ak Forest, etc. However, I did find some real estate stuff about Avondale and Air Harbor, two very traditional neighborhood West Of The Ashley that are representitive of what you can expect in Charleston, SC if you are the average Joe or Jane, and not some chamber of commerce generated parody:

Getting back to the original post, though... I'd like to see "favorites" as opposed to "typical".

Agree there is a difference; just like Avenida Tom jobim would be a "favorite" in Ipanema, RJ, Brazil, while Ramos, or Flamengo would be more a "typical".

Dreams vs reality. For most.
