I wonder what you folks would do sans air conditioning?

It's going down to 29 here tonight with 50 mph wind gusts, and 1" of slush expected, and I love it.

Find a climate you can live with, is my advice.

I agree. Thats my major problem living here. Unfortunately, hubby has lived here 18 years now and loves every bit of it, never wants to leave either. I'm not from this type of weather and the humidity is sickening to me. I've lived here 3.5 years now and still hate the summertime unless I'm catching a sea breeze on IOP. I didn't mind it being 80º on our wedding day in February though!

This 70º weather right now is wonderful, I wish it would last a lot longer than it does. Soon it'll be cold and icky instead of hot and icky If it's going to be cold it might as well snow and make me happy.

I thought that forum members might want to see some photos of the Isle of Palms I took today to include shots of the beach as well as Coconut Joes.

Damage by Hugo to South Carolina's Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island underscores the need for knowledge of beach and storm processes in order to protect lives and property."

Just to let everyone know what happens to barrier islands (by Ma Nature's design) during a hurricane.

Mother nature's way of wiping the slate clean......

It is suppose to get colder this week, but it will be back into the high 70's by next week or the one after that.

Great pictures!

I love Isle of Palms. My husband proposed to me there, and we also spent our wedding night and the next night in a beach front hotel room at The Palms Hotel. Amazingly, we could keep the sliding door open and listen to the waves, even in February. Too bad it's not always like that here
