Default Possible Move

Hi folks,

My wife and I currently reside in NW Wisconsin, and she was offered a job in Charleston and we unsure if this is the right fit for us. We would move at the end of May 2009.

She would make rougly $40,000 a year and I may be unemployed until I find either a full-time/temp/part-time job. I figure even if I work at a local store I can make a good $10-$15k / year, putting us around $50,000. If I were to get a job paying what I currently make, we'd be ner $75-80k

Can a young couple(just out of college) survive a decent lifestyle w/ $40-55k / year?
Would want of course a decent 2bdrm apartment, ability to buy toys, go out, and overall not need to worry about the bills.

Yes, you'll be fine as long as your lifestyle doesn't exceed that amount. Just be sure that you plan the budget accordingly and figure out how much you'll be able to afford per month for rent/utilities.

You can find plenty of 2+ bedroom apartments locally for around/under $1000 per month. So use that as a guideline to figure out everything else.
