How much is your homeowner's insurance?
I am curious as to what to expect for pricing in homeowner's insurance... anyone paying it?

Our's was just under 1200..
It all depends on the area you are looking into. The closer to the coast it will cost more.

What part of Charleston do you live for that price of home insurance without flood. That seems steep unless you own a home worth a LOT of money.

Homeowner's insurance depends on price, location and credit history, amid a slew of other factors. Some areas will put you under 1% of the price of the home, annually. Others can go above that. It's a case by case, home by home process.

Exactly! Ours would probably be about 200 cheaper if we didn't have earthquake insurance. Personally I like to make sure I'm covered because you never know what mother nature might throw at you.

$2,400 in Molasses Creek subdivison, Mt. Pleasant....and DJ, it's well under the 1% of home value even in today's market. But I'll be examining that insurance policy later to be sure it's what I truly need.

DJ is correct.Coming up with an approximate cost for a home owners insurance policy is impossible unless one has knowledge of the value of the home, lot, type of construction, location, age, insurance company, claims history, type of coverage, deductibles and often times credit score of the home buyer.

1% doesn't seem right with what we're paying vs. our home's cost. Its WAY less...
Maybe our home is plotted on an Indian reservation? hmmm, then I could open up a legal casino...
