My wife went today and stood in line for 3 hours. I went around 4pm and only had to wait 1.5 hours.

Yes, we definitely need more places to vote. I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours to cast my McCain vote! (and this was on Johns Island, where it usually takes me 10 minutes to drive to the high school, cast my vote, and drive home. )
I will say one good thing for Obama, he has gotten the minorities out to exercise their right to vote. Even though more than half of Johns Island is African American there are usually few or no black voters there when I go to vote.

Didn't you hear McCain's concession speech? It's time to come together for our country! Are you that prejudiced? I will pray for you, all of you on this board.

I'm agreeing that more African-Americans got out to vote this time. Okay, maybe it's not racial; maybe this is the 1st democrat or any candidate that had the policies they agreed with. I saw interviews that included asking some of them if they prefer Obama "because he is pro life or because Sara Palin is his running mate", some answered "because he is pro life" and others said they were okay with Palin as his running mate. Others were just excited that they could keep their home without working for it. And yes, I heard McCain's speech - - I'll try to step up to his level!

Knitwit, Please do! I would appreciate that. While you're at it, please pray for the unborn babies that are allowed to be aborted; for the charities that some of us will have to give a little less to because we'll be required to spread our hard-earned $ to those who choose to not try to work; oh, and for my son who was almost run off the road yesterday by a man in a Cadillac as the man yelled, "F...you Whitey - Go Obama".

Boy, I am amazed at the ignorance of some people.
I just thank god that in this case, it's only the internet. Unfortunately, some people deal with people like you in real life too.
