Job Resources
Hi,
I'm a student at the University of Illinois getting ready to graduate in December. I know I picked a great time to get out of school. My fiance is working down in Charleston so I'm trying to find a job there for when I graduate.
I'm getting my bachelors degree in Finance, I know another good one right now, my question is are there any good resources or anyone I could talk to to help me find a job. I'm already using the following:
1. Monster, Career Builder, etc.
2. Charleston Job Market
3. Craig's List
Thank you for any information. I really appreciate all of the help.

You could also try a temp agency like AppleOne. If for nothing else than the fact that they have contracts with some of the area's largest employers. It would certainly help you get your foot in the door with some of those companies.
Also, Charleston City Paper - Charleston - Food | Music | Events | Arts | News,
SCIway.net - South Carolina Information Highway - SC,
and Charleston News, Cars, Homes, Jobs, Real Estate, Weather, Business, Sports and Shopping. News and Information for the South Carolina LowCountry are great places to look as well.

Look into the schools, with a 'math' based degree you might be a prime candidate for High School teacher or substitute teacher until you find a job in your field.

Thank you so much for your input. I will definately have to check those out. I don't think I can do the teacher thing because I haven't taken the necessary tests and such to be considered at teacher.

You can teach here for up to a year before you are required to get certified as long as you are working towards it, and you can substitute without being certified at all.

Ahhh, ok. I will defiantly have to look into that then. I know there is almost always a need for math teachers.
