Default A New Google Street Map View Of The Isle Of Palms

As has been pointed out today in this forum, Google just launched it's street view of the Charleston area. This is a great tool for those considering relocating to the Charleston area and who want to get a street level view of the different neighborhoods, communities and attractions. Here is a street view of front beach on The Isle of Palms

Just what I needed to look at as we are bracing for a "noreaster" in Mass. with an inch of ICE expected before it changes to snow. However, I will be down there for New-Years!

I have found these street views to be very helpful in the last year and a bit as I search homes in the Mount Pleasant area. I love it.

I should clarify -- I don't always get the 'streetview' but I do use the satellite. It shows enough of the surrounding area to give you a good idea of the neighbourhood.

Gary, good luck with the upcoming storm.

When you head this way dress in layers then as you head south throw them out of the windows the further south you get.

I left NJ in 1989 and I don't even go back to visit in the winter unless someone kicks.

What a great way to get a better look at the different neighborhoods for house hunting purposes! You can now view a house from every street-faced angle.

You are right about the "escape" the IOP views gave....as I type, we are in the middle of an ice storm here in MD. YUCK! Can't even leave the house today....ahhhhh, I bet you all aren't getting ice right now, unless it's the kind in your sweet tea!!
