Default Opinions on The Summit Development in Summerville

The Summit does not seem to be one of the "popular" developments - some of my neighbors don't even know about the Summit. We're thinking of purchasing a house there -- I'm all of a sudden not trusting our real estate agent - though I want to, as he's a nice guy.

On average does anyone know the cost of a house in The Summit, especially per square foot? We're trying to buy a foreclosure, but will need to put a lot of money into it, and we feel that the amount the bank wants is just not realistic in this market -- with all that needs to be done to this house. One of the issues is the damage they've done to the cherry wood floors.

But our RE seems to think the bank will have no problem listing and selling the house for $50K more than they're willing to sell it to us for. Since we're not familiar with the RE market in Summerville - and The Summit - and there a few comps there -- just don't know what to think.

Any opinions from you experts.
