Thanks meks, do u know any of the history (of dizzylizzy's), was it a Hells Angles hang out. She had a reputation around the country, kind of a badge of honor with bikers, to say they had been there. what is RUB? ("i'm not very bright but, i am loyal").
I also remember a dive called the Z bar in goose creek. That was a dive but, they would serve us at 19. What a brawl we had in there one night.
thanks again

Well, I was just thinking about this. There's a new group on Facebook (over 500 members in one day!) that wants to make a brand new drive-in movie theater in the Charleston area. The closest one now is in Beaufort, but they want to build one here.
Some we had include the North 52 drive-in, one West Ashley, and one in Moncks Corner.
Do you remember drive-ins?

mcevoy - history of it? I was part of that history... lol ... been ridin n wrenchin on Harleys for decades...
HA hangout? ask them...
RUB? rich urban biker... the new wave bikers of today that started showing up in the early 90's, they aren't actually bikers... they are weekend cowboys in uniform and gesture only, more appropriately called motorcycle enthusiast who always wanted a Harley and finally got one when their hair turned gray and their wives let them... lol

I love drive-ins and would like to see them make a come back! We used to go a lot when I was a kid.... How do you find the group on Facebook? (I'm not a real proficient Facebook user yet!?)

Well, here is the link. It is mostly HS students from James Island and Academic Magnet, but many people have already written on it.

Haha! I see my sister has signed up on that site.
SCBeaches, I'm still learning Facebook also. The main reason I joined was to keep up with my daughter in college.
