Forgive me if I missed your sarcasm in the first sentence, but that's really asinine. That horrible, horrible murder began and happened in east Knoxville, by far the worst part of town.

If the original poster finds Knoxville to be crime ridden, either he's simply living in the wrong part of town out of ignorance or because he can't afford anything else. If the latter is true, go ahead and forget about living in Charleston, beyond maybe North Charleston.

I've never, ever had any issues walking around downtown Knoxville, even drunk and by myself. But the OP goes on to reiterate that he/she cannot walk around "anywhere" in Knoxville at night without fear. Obviously there are issues there way beyond any actual crime.

what is asinine about mentioning that horrible crime there? it didn't even hit the national news, probably due to local politics there...

I've heard from many people that live in and near knox the same story about the crime and drugs going through the roof, including from LEO that work there... you might want to take your blinders off the next time you "walk" all around there, unless you're just walking around in some exclusive gated neighborhood completely ignorant of it's surroundings

you shouldn't come on here insulting people... make your point another way...

you probably never had a problem walking drunk through knox because you were too drunk to notice your surroundings... troll...

First off, I didn't insult anyone. You're the only one who's done that.

Mentioning that crime isn't what makes your previous post asinine. It was claiming that Knoxville is some crime ridden city while attaching a crime that happened in the worst part of town. That's completely comical. You can mirror that to any city and call it a cesspool.

You obviously are clueless concerning anything about Knoxville and I don't believe for one second anyone from there has said what you're claiming. It's quite obvious, if not from your moronic crime connections, from your fake secondhand "sources."

What are you talking about taking off my blinders and noticing all the evil crime roaming around Knoxville? Shouldn't I have been mugged or attacked by all these mean criminals at some point? You know, as I've ran after midnight at many a Knoxville greenway. Or when I've bicycled through the working class neighborhoods of North and South Knoxville after dark. There's also the many nights I've spent downtown and in the Old City and walked by myself back to my car, why didn't I get robbed, there's crime everywhere? Can't forget the McMansion neighborhoods out west, they're pretty dangerous. Ohh, it must be dumb luck and I must have simply not noticed all the crime going on, right? No, not really, cause you're representation is laughable at best. Knoxville is perfectly safe for the average citizen.

What exactly does local politics have to do with CNN or other national outlets reporting this crime? Did Knox County Commission ban them from reading the local paper or watching the many news reports readily available online? Were they banned from entering city limits? Wow, imagine that, another absurd statement from you.

To anyone else who reads this, forgive me if my words come across as abrasive or annoying, but I feel like silly claims should be cleared up. I came across this person's comments while searching for info on Charleston and I do love the state and town and mean no ill towards them. Folk's lies should be exposed, especially when they're as preposterous as that.

____

I suppose to you... "If the original poster finds Knoxville to be crime ridden, either he's simply living in the wrong part of town out of ignorance or because he can't afford anything else. If the latter is true, go ahead and forget about living in Charleston, beyond maybe North Charleston." ...is NOT insulting the original poster??

yet again insulting... my "fake" sources are cops that work that city and several people I've talked too from there that were also very happy to have moved out

Calling you out on your phony drivel isn't insulting you.

You believing that the city of Knoxville in any way controls what the national media reports proves I'm discussing this with a 7 year old.

no one said anything about Knox controling the national media, but because it didn't release/forward this info to the markets as most do it didn't get the attention it should have... obviously you know very little about media

you're nothing but a baiting troll... I'm done with you...
