Where are the pizzerias?
I've lived here for over 9 years and I have yet to find a single pizzeria in the area. With all these NY/NJ transplants not one single pizzeria is available in the Summerville area. I don't always want a whole pie, sometimes I just want a slice and there seem to be no places around that sell slices. I go to Florida and the place is infested with pizza parlors.
Andolini's is about as close (emphasis on close) as I've seen to a pizzeria and their pizza is not that great (and overpriced).
What gives? Am I alone here?

In Summerville? Good question.
In Mount Pleasant, try La Pizzeria at the intersection of Huston Northcutt and Coleman.

Mellow Mushroom is good.
Do Re Mi makes good pizza
Vincent's is pricey for me, but good.
They all have locations in Mt P.

J.I.'s Pizza on Maybank Hwy. on Johns Island is really good and there's another good on in the same strip mall as AAA across from St. Francis Hospital (Baroni's, Barinelli's, something like that). I grew up in a family which owned and operated an authentic Italian food restaurant and like to think I know a good pizza when I taste it.

I like Monza on King Street. Woody's on Center St on Folly is good but I think I give it extra points for being in a good mood when I'm there.
And Andolinis' quality seems to change entirely depending on the locations. Is Benitos decent, I haven't been there in years but used to think it was OK? Sadly the Whole Foods pizza counter is as good as anything I've had locally with the possibe exception of Monza.

There is a place not too far from us Italian Bistro - you can get pizza by the slice. Seems to stay busy - so must be good (I think it's at Central and Orangeburg Roads).
